I have a good friend who is a union electrician in a large factory. He is personable smart and hard working. He gets on well with almost all his coworkers.

A few of his coworkers piss him off. He calls them the slugs. They are the slimy type who sit around drawing a check while watching others work.

When you’re entering into business you want to avoid being partnered with a slug. But sometimes they’re sneaky.

Given that you can’t always detect a slug ahead of time, can I provide you some legal “salt” to improve your chances of frightening them off or of handling a good business partner who later on evolves into a slug?

Yes. I’ll tell you a bit about those options later. Up front, you need to know that these things usually are symmetrical. In a fair agreement, if you turn out to be the slug, it is you who will get salted.
